As part of the program initiated in early 2015 aiming to install in Haiti 42 industrial micro-parks, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to the tune of 14 million and the European Union (EU) to the tune of 6 million; Herrick Dessources General Coordinator of micro-parks management service, announced that after several studies, two new micro-parks will be put into operation in Haiti in 2016. Thus this week Jessy C. Petit-Frère, the Minister of Trade and Industry, in the presence of de facto President Jocelerme Privert, Senator Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé, the main mayor of Ouanaminthe, Luma Demetrius, Fernando Capellan, President of the industrial Development Company (CODEVI) and many regional politicians and of industrial sector has officially laid the foundation stone for the construction of micro park on the site of the CODEVI.

Fernando Capellan welcomed this project, which will allow welcome among others in sanitary conditions, dozens of cooks, which feed the 8,000 Haitian workers currently working in the free zone of Ouanaminthe and 3,000 more to come https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16087-icihaiti-economy-towards-the-creation-of-3-000-new-jobs-in-codevi.html This micro-park will also include a cafeteria.

Jocelerme Privert, stressed that the construction of this micro park will offer more jobs opportunities in the region.
