iciHaiti - Social : The Consulate of Haiti visit Haitian women inmates in Santiago

As part of the accompaniment of our compatriots in detention in its jurisdiction, a delegation from the Consulate of Haiti in Santiago, Dominican Republic, composed of the Minister Councillor Jacques Pierre Matilus, of the Consul Carl Edouard St-Rémy, of Vice-Consul Stéphanie George, the Consular Officer Réginald Carrenard and Fritz-Hubert Hyacinthe, have recently carried out a visit to the Correction Centre and Rehabilitation of Rafey for Women, in Santiago.
The delegation met with the responsible of Correctional Centre, as well as Haitian women jailed in order to accompany them during their legal process. The delegation took advantage of this visit to deliver to each of inmates, hygiene kits.
Following this visit, Tuesday, August 23, the migrants service of Consulate sent to a compatriot imprisoned medications necessary for his medical treatment.
