iciHaïti - Education : 50th International Literacy Day

Wednesday the Ministry of National Education in collaboration with UNESCO, has launched the 50th International Literacy Day (8 September 2016).
On this occasion, the speakers made a real plea for the fight against illiteracy, fight in which the Haitian government is committed for over 60 years, said the Minister of National Education, Jean Beauvois Dorsonne.
Secretary of State for Literacy, Mrs. Brutus Paula Julien, took advantage of the launch to announce a set of activities, including an awareness day on the square Hugo Chavez on Thursday 8 September and the opening shortly of several literacy centers in 8 communes of the West department.
