The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of U.S. Department of State through Embassy of the United States in Port-au-Prince, funded travel and equipment to install a new 150 ft. radio tower at the headquarters of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) of Grand Anse.

In addition, 10 person team from the Haitian National Police Communications Unit (BUTI) along with INL team member installed radio equipment in 8 commissariats. They already installed radio communication equipment in commissariat of Corail, Moron, Chambellan, Les Irois, Anse-d'Hainault, Roseaux, and Dame Marie.

The installations will continue in September for 4 additional departments: South, North, North-West, and Nippes.

This will complete the installation of 100 sets of radio equipment including solar systems and batteries to power these systems.
