Friday, Abel Nazaire, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, received in the Annex of the Ministry in Frères, the Haitian Olympic swimmer Naomie Grand Pierre to congratulate her on behalf of the Government and people of Haiti for her participation in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, revive the practice of swimming and encourage young people to dedicate themselves to this discipline hat is more than a sport but a necessity for Haiti.

The Minister Nazaire deplored the dysfunction of the Olympic pool of Carrefour Sports Centre and told to consider making repairs work required to renovate the installations essential to the practice of swimming. He also guaranteed to leaders of Federation of water sports, all the support of the Government to provide the minimum necessary for the development of swimming in Haiti.
