At the Summit of Heads of State or Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which ended Sunday on "Isla de Margarita" (Venezuela), the Prime Minister, Enex Jean-Charles met after the plenary session of the Summit with the Deputy Prime Minister and Chancellor of Vietnam, Pham Binh Minh.

This meeting was an opportunity for the Head of Government to to review the Haitian-Vietnamese cooperation and consider new avenues for collaboration between the two countries. The two leader expressed satisfaction with the vigorous development of bilateral relations.

Stressing the need to strengthen the exchange of delegations, promote the implementation of projects between Vietnamese and Haitian companies, particularly in telecommunications, agriculture, rice trade and infrastructure, Prime Minister Jean-Charles asked to speed up negotiations on bilateral cooperation documents including the agreement of encouragement and protection of investments and the non-double taxation.

Moreover, the Prime Minister hoped that Vietnamese experts of rice, come to share their professional experiences in Haiti.
