The World Economic Forum that publishes every year since 2005 the Global Competitiveness Report of countries excluded in its 2016-2017 edition Haiti, the Seychelles and Suriname that have not even been able to meet the minimum requirements needed to be considered in this edition.

Recall that last year, Haiti occupied the 134th position ut of 140 analyzed countries, with an overall average of 3.18.

The ranking of economies in the Global Competitiveness Report, is based on the Gobal Competitiveness Index World (IGC). This ranking of the IGC results from the aggregation of a hundred indicators grouped into 12 categories: institutions, infrastructure, macroeconomic environment, health and primary education, higher education and vocational training , goods market efficiency, the efficiency of the labor market, the financial market development, technological readiness, market size, business sophistication and innovation.
