Despite the restrictions of exports by road of 23 products https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15156-haiti-notice-import-ban-by-road-of-certain-products-from-dr.html and various other prohibitions of the Haitian Government, the export of Dominican products, always in high demand in Haiti, are doing very well and do not seem to be too affected by these measures and prohibitions.

Thémistocle Montas, Dominican Minister of Industry and Commerce, revealed Tuesday that Dominican exports to Haiti were valued at 1.012 billion dollars in 2015 and 410.9 million already in the first half 2016.

Detailing the major exports of the Dominican Republic in Haiti, Montas cited among others : raw cotton fabrics used in apparel manufacturing in Haiti, Portland Cement, preparations for sauces, wheat flour, plastic items and PVC and rebar.
