iciHaiti - Humanitarian : Donation of the Mexican Government

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) of Mexico informs that in support to the Haitian population, the Mexican Ambassador José Luis Alvarado handed to authorities Sunday a humanitarian assistance of the Mexican government, intended to southern towns devastated by the passage of Matthew hurricane.

This first assistance, consisting of 31.700 gallons of water and water purification tablets to prevent cholera transmission was delivered to Mrs. Alta Jean Baptiste, Director of Civil Protection of Haiti and to Remy Junior Mauvais, Official Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and of the civil-military component of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The Government of Mexico will continue to support the Haitian people by providing essential assistance.
