iciHaiti - Economy : Bangladesh will establish in Haiti

Following the visit to Haiti last August, of a delegation of businessmen from Bangladesh, Georges B. Sassine, President Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) confirmed that he led a delegation of the ADIH composed of Philippe Débrosse, Director General of SONAPI and Lionel Delatour, Advisor to the Director General of the National Society of Industrial Parks (SONAPI) in Bangladesh to attract new actors in the apparel sector in Haiti.

Partnership agreements were signed that will allow the creation 7,000 additional jobs in the textile sector.

Tofail Ahmed, Minister of Commerce of Bangladesh confirmed that the "Ha-Meem Group" a major producer of garments, has already decided to invest in Haiti.
