Friday, on the National Road #6 between Fort Liberté in Ouanaminthe, a bus crashed into a van carrying about a dozen passengers.

The provisional toll is 8 people died on the scene and several injured, some seriousl, rushed to hospital have died despite the efforts of medical teams to save them.

According to reports, the accident could have been caused by improper operation of the bus driver.
