This week the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) celebrated its 22 years of existence, with an open house. The program including : a mural exhibition of press articles on migration, the MHAVE and the diaspora; some works of Haitian authors dealing with these issues, the screening of the documentary of Valéry Numa "Destination Brazil"...

Jessy C. Petit Frère, the acting Minister of MHAVE, present at the event, praised the efforts of ministry staff for achieving this successful day and thanked the executives and some former ministers present in the circumstances, to have contributed to the 22 years of existence of the Ministry of Diaspora.

Ardouin Louis Charles, Director General of the Ministry stressed the need to make the MHAVE a large ministry, which must address the real needs of the Haitian diaspora to encourage them to invest in the country.
