On Friday 18 November 2016, the closing day of the electoral campaign, the President de facto Jocelerme Privertm condemned with utmost rigor the use by certain candidates of State property to conduct their campaign. He particularly regrets that a vehicle SE registered 03868 was used by supporters of a presidential candidate [Famni Lavalas] with his posters in the midst of an electoral campaign.

He made it clear that the investigation confirmed that this vehicle was not allocated to the Executive Power but to another state power. Consequently, the Presidency declines all responsibility for the use made of this vehicle.
