iciHaiti - Culture : 13th edition of the Quatre Chemins Festival

The 13th edition of the Quatre Chemins Festival will take place from Monday 21st November until 3rd December 2016 in Port-au-Prince. The meeting cycle "Enemy Bordes / Friendly Bordes" will be of particular importance this year because, around the questioning of enemy borders, will be gathered artists, specialists and academics from both sides of the island and other countries. Debating, exchanging about living together, art as media, art in politics, and so on... with Haitian and foreign specialists. The conferences will give a new resonance to all performances and show of the Festival.

During the festival a particular time will be given to the poetry around the program "Pwezi Peyi". Representations will be organized in schools with the Theater program in schools and in the refugee in camps coming from the Dominican Republic.

Quatre Chemins has always been a space for broadcasting shows for some and learning for others. For the last two years, the Festival proposes to all of workshops of theatrical writing, of play, of dance, animated by the artists of the festival. Again this year 2016, the workshops will be a privileged space of sharing between the artists and the curious of the art.
