iciHaiti - Diaspora : Senator of Haitian origin elected in Florida

On Tuesday, Daphné Campbell, a Haitian-American, was sworn in to the Senate of the State Parliament of Florida, becoming the first woman of Haitian origin, to be elected senator.

Born in Cap-Haitien (1957), Daphné Campbell graduated (1981) from the "SOD Nursing school" (Cap-Haïtien). Prior to joining the Florida Senate, she served 3 terms in the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 108th district from 2010 to 2016.
