iciHaiti - Social : FPH encourages the protesting parties to refuse violence...
In a note, the Protestant Federation of Haiti (FPH) notes the publication by the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) of the preliminary results of the elections of November 20 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19370-haiti-flash-preliminary-results-1st-round-elections-20-november-2016.html in the delay planned.

"This is an important step that has been taken in the process of nominalisation of the political situation of our country," said the FPH who also "takes note that the candidate Jovenel Moïse came in the lead according to the preliminary results published by the CEP, some arties have already accepted these results, others challenge them."

The FPH "encourages protesting parties to refuse violence and to follow the legal path provided for in the Electoral Decree in a timely manner. Any incitement to violence must be avoided for the good of the country and for the successful completion of this electoral process which has already lasted too long. Democracy requires a climate of peace and must take precedence over the interests of the Nation over particular interests.
