Haiti - Environment : DR bans the import of pieces of Haitian trees

Thursday in Dajabon, the Dominican Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Rubén Darío Paulino Sem, accompanied by Governor Ramona Rodriguez Quezada, General Sugar Futzis Frugis Martínez of Cesfront and General Jose Frias Rodriguez of the fourth brigade of Mao, announced the prohibition of the crossing of dry wood by the Haitians in the Dominican Republic by the border bridge of this city.
The Minister announced this decision after having crossed a caravan of Haitians who carried in carts on the Dominican territory, large quantities of pieces of trees from Haiti.
