iciHaiti - Economy : Towards a Partial Free Trade Agreement with DR ?

Miguel Vargas Maldonado, the Dominican Minister of Foreign Affairs, described diplomatic relations with Haiti as good and assured that these good relations will continue regardless of who will preside the neighboring country.
According to Miguel Vargas' statements, the Dominican Republic would promote a free trade agreement with Haiti in order to strengthen bilateral trade relations, investment and cooperation, stating " We have started a process of trade facilitation, which in principle will be partial, but over time it will increase gradually," insisting on the beneficial aspect for producers and the Haitian people.
