Since December 7th, the Departmental Directorate of West of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) mobilized within the framework of Operation "Bloke Bandi" (which will end on January 7, 2017), 600 agents of several specialized units to neutralize bandits during the holiday season and enhance public security.

In a summary report, Commissioner Jean Brice Myrthil (Delmas) announced that the police had already arrested 161 individuals including several dangerous criminals and that 13 suspected bandits had been killed in various armed confrontations.
