iciHaiti - Training : 90 young new graduates in the textile sector
As part of the Community Violence Reduction (RVC) program of the Minustah in Trou du Nord (Cap Haïtien), was held recently a graduation ceremony for 90 young beneficiaries of the vocational training project in : industrial sewing machine operators, domestic sewing cutters and factory placement.

This project was set up in Cap-Haïtien by the National Institute for the Development and Promotion of Couture (INDEPCO).

Recall that since the beginning of the RVC program in Haiti in 2006, Minustah has financed projects totaling more than 76 million US dollars, which directly benefited more than 400,000 Haitians.

"This program is a unique tool through which communities can become more resilient. Its projects have contributed to improving security in the most marginalized and gang-influenced areas through, inter alia, vocational training for idle youth, legal assistance and support for women affected by violence based on Gender, "said Sandra Honoré, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Haiti and Civil Chief of the Minustah.
