iciHaiti - Technology : Haiti at the ITU World Radiocommunication Seminar 03/01/2017 09:12:54
The seminar was devoted to discussions on international frequency management and standardization of radiocommunications for terrestrial services and space services (satellite orbits) and on familiarization with ITU notification procedures and a number of software and electronic publications made available to members of the Union. During the meeting, Cosmos Zavazava, Head of the ITU Project Department, said he had worked on an emergency telecommunications project for Haiti and announced plans to visit Haiti in the coming months. Note that in March 2017, ITU will organize a regional seminar on spectrum management for the Americas and a coordination meeting of digital television frequencies and digital dividend for the Caribbean and Latin America.
