Haiti - Social : Inauguration of a drinking water project in the Centre
This Thursday, around 10 am, will be inaugurated the project of drinking water supply of populations of Los Palmas, Guébo, Jacob and Los Palis in Los Palis, located on the road from Hinche to Thomassique in the department of Centre.

This project, funded by Minustah through its Quick Impact Projects (QIPs), is a follow-up to the promise of the then Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, during his visit in the Department of Centre in July 2014 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11595-haiti-politic-towards-water-and-sanitation-services-for-over-3-million-haitians.html . As the third phase of a series of work begun following this visit, this global project of nearly 260,000 US dollars will enable more than 48,000 inhabitants of the communities of Los Palmas, Jacob, Guébo and now Los Palis (3rd communal section of Hinche) to have access to drinking water and improve their living conditions.
