"The Brazilian Government greet the newly elected President of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse, for his victory in the last presidential elections and conveys its best wishes in the exercise of his functions.

Recognizing the importance of the electoral process for the institutional consolidation of the country, Brazil reiterates its determination to continue to cooperate for the development of Haiti.

The Brazilian Government takes this opportunity to commend the work of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (Minustah) and the contribution of the international community in the reconstruction of Haiti."
