iciHaiti - Politics : The Haitian state officially recognizes 2 new NGOs
Friday, Aviol Fleurant, the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, in the presence of the Director General of the Ministry, his Director of Cabinet and the representative of the Spanish Agency for Development (AECID), proceeded to the handover of joints announcements, to two new non-governmental development organizations (NGOs) evolving in Haiti : "Réseau du Coeur" and "Ministère des Sports de Vapor".

Let us recall that the joint announcements, co-signed by the ministers of Planning and Foreign Affairs, is the official act by which the Haitian State recognizes the existence of an NGO on its territory.

In his speech for the occasion, the Minister reminded Fleurant reminded these two institutions that they must work in collaboration with the authorities, since their actions aim to complement those of the government in the targeted areas.

He also drew the attention of these NGOs on the obligation they have to submit reports of their activities to the Directorate of Coordination of NGO Activities (DCA-NGO). He also took the opportunity to thank AECID for its support to the DCA-ONG in the framework of the supervision of NGOs throughout the national territory.
