Because the last opponent of the Grenadiers in the 2017 Gold Cup play-off https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19751-haiti-gold-cup-2017the-grenadiers-win-the-victory-against-the-socca-warriors-[4-3].html will be the team ranked 5th of the Copa Centro Americana, Haiti shows a great interest in this competition which is currently played in Panama.

It is January 22 of this competition that will be announced the first four of the classification, qualified directly for the next Gold Cup in the United States (July 7 to 26) while the 5th country will defy in round and return matches the 5th of the CFU, the National Selection of Haiti.

The dates of confrontation between the Grenadiers and the 5th UNCAF selection will be clarified shortly.
