"The Embassy of Haiti in Canada has learned with as much indignation as deep sadness, the stunning news of the murderous attack perpetrated on Sunday evening against a mosque in Quebec City.

The Mission strongly condemns this odious act and joins its voice to the many voices from around the world condemning this unnecessary slaughter, which plunges into mourning innocent families and the the entire Muslim community in Quebec and Canada.

The Embassy of Haiti reiterates its solidarity with the Muslim population, which so cruelly affected and asks it to accept its sincere condolences."

In addition, elected President Jovenel Moïse also responded to this attack and declared "I strongly condemn the cowardly attack against a Mosque in Quebec. I express Haiti's full support to the people of Quebec."
