Thursday in Gros-Morne (Department of Artibonite) as part of the patronal festival "Our Lady of Candlemas" the local committee of the Haitian Red Cross (CRH) of Gros-Morne, deployed in the framework of humanitarian action to help the population celebrate its patronale feast.

Dr. Guiteau Jean-Pierre, President of the National Society of CRH, joined the members of the local committee and the Volunteers to carry out fumigation operations in order to allow residents to celebrate very late at night without fear of the Mosquitoes Aedes carrying Zika or dengue. "OFF" mosquito flasks, courtesy of the International Federation of the Red Cross, Red Crescent and the global giant Johnson & Johnson, have been distributed in some neighborhoods.

Recall that with the support of its partners, the National Society of the CRH has started since the beginning of 2016, an intensive campaign of fight against the Zika throughout the country and intends to continue the combat by the training of volunteers, education in communities at risk, treatment or destruction of larval hosts, distribution of mosquito flasks, mosquito nets etc...
