Lesly Condé, the Consul General of Haiti in Chicago, makes a duty to remind the entire community that the month of February is known throughout the world as the "Black History Month".
"This is an opportunity for us to think about our heritage and the place that our country occupies in the history of humanity in general and of the black race in particular. We will honor our National Heroes in February and throughout the year. Our history that inspired so many peoples should at least be honored everywhere during the 28 days of February. It is up to us to be proud of them and to train children proud of their identity."
