iciHaiti - Politics : Advocacy campaign with public authorities

Under the project "Monitoring Program of Public Authorities Actions" (PROMAPP) funded by the European Union (EU), an advocacy campaign was launched by Civil Society Organizations of the Centre on the themes of : Education, civil status and the migration issue. Was present at this launch Karl Jean Louis, the Executive Director of the Observatory of the Action of Haitian Public Authorities (OCAPH) and representatives of 7 civil society organizations from the Central Plateau and Raphaël Brigandi, representing EU Ambassador Vincent Degert.

Raphaël Brigandi stressed the importance of the role of civil society organizations in order to "control" the action of the public authorities" in a constructive way", that is to say "by affirming itself as a force of proposal," and welcomed the OCAPH for its global action aimed, with other organizations, to contribute to the construction of a new culture of governance where the key words are "transparency, accountability, dialogue and inclusion."
