Monday at a press conference, Carrefour's main mayor, Jude Edouard Pierre, announced the start of pre-carnival activities on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th February.

Wednesday 15: festivities followed in the evening by a masked ball where will be unveiled the queens;

Thursday 16: Carnival of the little ones in the Sports center of the commune;

Friday 17 and Saturday 18: Carnival Parade

Out of a budget estimated at 15 million Gourdes, the Municipal Council received only 500,000 Gourdes from the Government, lamented the Mayor Pierre. Despite a lack of funds, the mayor nevertheless ensures that it will be a very beautiful Carnival colorful, inviting visitors from all over to come and have fun in large numbers.
