Poetic Cocktail :

Saturday , in prelude to the 11th edition of the Jacmel National Carnival, which takes place this Sunday, February 19, Marc-Aurèle Garcia, the Minister of Culture launched the traditional poetic cocktail around the theme "Kilti m se enèji m" . This evening was punctuated by poems, songs, performances of dance troupes of the city and especially testimonies. Several disciples and poets, natives of the creative city participated in the show.

Carnival of Jacmel 2017 :

This Sunday, D-Day in addition to its colorful disguises, its original masks renowned even internationally, its masquerades and walking bands, and the 10 queens representing the ten communes of the South-East, 15 Musical groups will take an important place in its parade of which 9 group of Jacmel : Krèm, Invincible, Jouvenceaux, Hot Men, Sonice, For 45, Lekòl La, A la 1 and Bamboula and 6 from Port-au-Prince : yo pa ta ka pa la, Kreyòl La, Boukman Eksperyans, Boukan Ginen, Rockfam, Esthee EKO and Bossa Combo stressed Mayor Macky Kessa, who promises novelties in this year's edition.

The Carnival of Jacmel, whose cost is estimated at 25 million Gourdes, received an envelope of 10 million from the Government. Recall that the Government has an envelope of 90 million Gourdes to be divided between the different Carnivals of the country...
