Haiti - Environment : Big cleaning to Delmas in the advertising display
Wilson Jeudy, the mayor of Delmas, announced measures to end the wild advertising displays that disfigure his city "[...] we want to put order in advertising in Delmas [...]"

He said, among other things, that the advertising banners will no longer cross the streets, only vertical banners will be allowed. Additionally, only advertisements that have been authorized by the City Council for a period and defined criteria may be displayed in the urban landscape at agreed places between the Town Hall and the advertiser.

With regard to posters that are never removed after an event, he states that the persons, associations, political parties, commercial enterprises or others concerned will have to withdraw their poster after the period granted or pay to have them withdrawn, specifying that this payment will be claimed at a display request for authorization, if the applicant is not in good standing with this regulation.
