Tuesday, a Haitian Red Cross (HRC) delegation led by Ms. Margareth Emeran, accompanied by senior officials from the organization, including Humanitarian Diplomacy Officer Péricles Jean-Baptiste and the Protection Officer Miss Sherline Daudier, visited the 230 women detainees in the Cabaret civilian prison (Department of the West, in the Arcahaie), who live in difficult prison conditions, to give them among others underwear and talk with them and the penitentiary staff.

The delegation took note of the grievances of the detainees in order to discuss them with the partners of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
