iciHaiti - CNSA : Food Security, 6 Departments in crisis
Following the drought in the Northwest, the Upper Artibonite, the Southeast and the Northwest, to the passage of Hurricane Matthew on the Grand'Anse, the South and the Nippes and the floods in the departments of the North and the Northeast, the National Coordination of Food Security (CNSA), in its last report, classified the departments of Grand'Anse, South, Nippes, South-East, North-West and North-East in a crisis phase in relation to food security in the year 2016.

In its projections of the situation (June-September 2017), the CNSA explains that if the harvests are good "From June, we can expect an improvement in the different zones analyzed" nevertheless "this improvement will not suffice to induce a phase change in certain zones, especially in the lower northwest, the upper Artibonite and the Grand'Anse, due to the large decapitalisation of families," emphasizes the CNSA.
