Josué Mérilien the General Coordinator of the National Union of Nnormaliens of Haiti (UNNOH) deplores the multiplication of carnivals in Haiti, while the population is facing a serious crisis in the public health sector.

He considers that the Government's decision to financially support these carnivalesque activities is "immoral" in view of the lack of support of health problems, which exist in the 19 public hospitals of the country.

Let's recall that the last work stoppage in public hospitals, which began on 5 December 2016, was lifted only on 23 February 2017, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between a Presidential Commission and the National Federation of Health Workers (FENATRAS). https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-20185-haiti-politics-first-victory-of-jovenel-moise.html
