The General Direction of the Executive Body of the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) reminds the owners of telecommunications antenna towers that, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 99 and 105 of the regulation on standards for the installation of antenna towers, they must ensure that all equipment installed on their sites are licensed by the CONATEL.

Therefore, they can proceed to the installations of equipment on towers, only when the owners of such equipment obtain the appropriate authorizations by CONATEL for the type of telecommunications service they wish to offer.

CONATEL informs that from Monday 13 March 2017 its technical services will carry out the systematic inspection of the telecommunications sites with a view to verifying the conformity of the installed radiocommunication equipment and relies on the collaboration of the owners of the towers to facilitate the access to their sites to CONATEL inspectors.
