iciHaiti - Security : Drug seizure, the BLTS not idle

Monday, during a press briefing, Gary Desrosiers, the deputy spokesperson of the National Police of Haiti revealed that in March, during 4 separate operations 9.8 kilograms of cocaine and 87 kilograms of marijuana in total had been intercepted and seized by the Brigade for the Fight against Trafficking Narcotic drugs (BLTS).
On 2 March, BLTS proceeded to Toussaint Louverture International Airport to the arrest of two Haitians Ismith Joseph and Guerda St-Cyr, who possess 4 kilos of cocaine to Miami ; On 3 March, Espinoreta Yo Merlin, a Dominican national who was leaving for New York, was arrested in possession of 2 kilos of cocaine; On March 17, 87 kilos of marijuana from Jamaica were seized in St-Louis du Sud, and on March 18, the BLTS arrested Alexandre Fabienne, a Haitian in possession of 3.8 kilos of cocaine bound for Fort Lauderdale.
