Monday, as part of the World Theater Day, celebrated in Haiti since 1962, Limond Toussaint, the new Minister of Culture and Communication, welcomed in particular efforts in dramatic art, theater companies, comedians, directors, playwrights, stage managers, props, scenographers, all lovers of this art and the general public.

Minister Toussaint took the opportunity to recall the policy of the administration, which aims at culture, notably theater as a cement of identity, personal and collective fulfillment in order to restore the pride and dignity of the Haitian man, the assertion of Haitian cultural identity and vitality, as stated in the General Policy of Prime Minister Lafontant (page 35/36) https://www.haitilibre.com/docs/declaration-de-politique-generale-lafontant.pdf

Recalling that his ministry, intended "[...] through the National Theater and the National School of Arts, to pursue a policy of proximity in the field of dramatic art and to strengthen art education through our schools and our Lycées."
