A cooperation project could be created between the city of Granby in Quebec and the commune of Carrefour in Haiti, said the mayor of Granby Pascal Bonin a few days after his return from mission to Haiti, adding that a file is in preparation on this subject, which will shortly be submitted to the approval of the Municipal Council.

Cooperation between Granby and Carrefour would cover several sectors, including civil safety, sport, culture and the environment.

Concerning sports cooperation, the mayor said that during major football tournaments (soccer in Quebec), a Carrefour team could come to Quebec and young people from Granby could go to Carrefour, pointing out that this city had "facilities worthy of the name".
