In a press briefing, Divisional Commissioner Jean-Claude Benjamin, Assistant to the Spokesperson of the General Inspectorate of the National Police of Haiti (IGPNH), the police of the polices, presented the cases dealt with during the month of March.

He revealed that during this period, the IGPNH had received over a hundred files, opened 84 investigations and concluded close to 60 files that were sent to the PNH General Directorate for legal follow-up.

Out of the 100 files, 87 were complaints for various crimes including assault, violence and homicide, rape, breach of trust, land conflict, beating, destruction of property, intimidation, assault...

The IGPNH recommends to the General Directorate of the PNH several sanctions including, among other things : from revocation for the most serious cases to lay-off, suspension, blame, warning and transfer...
