The Ministry of the Environment, in partnership with several private companies : Nabatco, Matpar, Séjourné SA, Sotresa, Rebo SA, Dinasa, Comme il Faut and Laboratoire Farmatrix, organized a meeting on the eradication of solid wastes in Haiti and particularly in Port-au-Prince.

These companies want to find a solution to the proliferation of solid and household waste in the country and have agreed above all that the Ministry of the Environment should elaborate the standards and define the mechanisms that should lead the population to adopt responsible behavior vis-à-vis the environment.

A state of the environment, accompanied by a balance sheet and prospects should lead to the organization of Assises and States General.

In order to define a comprehensive strategy and to share responsibility for the implementation of projects, further meetings are scheduled for the month of May.
