iciHaiti - Security : High-Level Committee, in case of possible earthquakes in the North

Friday, Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant, proceeded to the installation of the Committee for the management of possible earthquakes in the North.
This high-level committee, coordinated by the engineer Claude Prépetit, Director General of the Bureau of Mines, brings together the Prime Minister and the Ministries of the Interior, Public Works and Defense. Its mission is to produce scientific reflections and make recommendations to the Moïse/Lafontant administration for the adoption of measures to prevent and limit material damage and loss of life in the event of a possible earthquake in the North.
"May 7, 2017, recalls one of the greatest natural disasters in the city of Cap in 1842 [...] With regard to the North, we must learn the lessons of history," recalled the Prime Minister.
