iciHaiti - Diaspora : A Haitian receives the Hommage bénévolat-Québec awards

For the first time, a Haitian, Réginald Pierre received from the hands of Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec, Michel Doyon, the Hommage bénévolat-Québec awards, for his community and humanitarian actions for over 12 years in Saint-Michel, a neighborhood of Montreal.
"This medal recognizes your overwhelming volunteer and humanitarian efforts. It is the highest decoration of this honors program," wrote Michel Demers, the General Secretary of the Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec, in a letter addressed to the recipient of the medal.
"I am very proud to be the first Haitian recipient of the medal (gold) Exceptional Merit of the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec," declared our compatriot proud and moved at the official award ceremony.
