iciHaiti - Diaspora : A historic event for the Haitians of the State of New York

Monday, May 22, at the Official Invitation of the Senator of the 38th District of New York, David Carlucci, Senator of the North, and First Secretary of the Senate, Dieudonne Luma Étienne went to New York where is the strongest Haitian community of the United States to participate in a historic event in the United States : the reading in the Senate of the State, of the Resolution now declaring May 22, Haitian Unity Day in the State of New York.
"Haiti has a rich cultural history and wherever we go we identify with our cultural elements that constitute our values as people," said Senator Étienne who strongly believes that the Haitian diaspora "will never cease to play an important role in the socio-economic development of Haiti, as well as in our representation at the international level. Let's work together for a better involvement of the diaspora in the affairs of the country."
