iciHaiti - Agriculture : Seed Policy Validation Workshop

This Tuesday 23 opens a new two-day workshop on the validation of the Action Plan of the National Seed Policy and of the seed draft law organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

This workshop, which is part of the implementation of the project "Support to the revival of the seed sub-sector in Haiti", financed by the Small-scale Agricultural Technology Transfer Program (PTTA) of the Ministry, with financial support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), aims to validate the Seed Policy Action Plan and the seed draft law with a view to endowing the country with a viable and sustainable seed sector.

The validation of these policy and legal instruments will be a new step in the process of developing the seed industry in Haiti.
