Wednesday, Andy Durosier, the Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, chaired a working meeting with senior officials of the Ministry's main entities during which a new Promotion Activity Management System (SYGAP) was presented by Yves Benoit the Coordinator of the Computer unit and Information Systems (UISI).

The SYGAP will enable the Ministry to record promotional activities and to collect their benefits. This system is powered by a database containing information from services sub-sectors such as travel, tourist transport, hotel and hospitality, etc. A web application for registering personalities deemed important by the Ministry of Tourism to whom will be offered a reception service either upon arrival or departure at the international airports of Haiti was also proposed and presented by Yves Benoit.

In addition, several Directorates have submitted various proposals: a framework defining the modes of operation and management of staff based on a job description; A manual of administrative procedures and a document proposing the creation of an internal control structure.
