This Monday, May 29, brings back the 85th anniversary of the founding of the National Society of the Haitian Red Cross (CRH). 85 years at the service of the population as an auxiliary of the State in the field of humanitarian aid.

In this context, Dr. Guiteau Jean-Pierre, President of the CRH, recalled that "[...] Despite the jolts and changes that have marked this Haitian century, like the entire Red Cross movement through the world, we have remained faithful to our founding principles and the values that have always guided our actions on the ground to alleviate the suffering and strengthen the capacities of the most vulnerable; always being neutral and without discrimination in relation to the people we are attending.

How many lives have we saved during his 85 years ! Sometimes at the risk of our volunteers engaged in the field. How many sufferings have we helped to mitigate ! [...] This day will be marked by blood gathering activities throughout our blood transfusion stations, notably at the CNTS in Turgeau and at our headquarters in Maïs-Gaté throughout the day [...]"
