iciHaiti - Agriculture : Distribution of 72 tons of seed to farmers
In the second quarter of 2017, through the Project "Development of small irrigation and access to markets" the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Government of Haiti have put more than 72 tons of seeds (but, peas, rice, vegetable products) at the disposal of farmers in the goâvienne region and of Nippes, with financial support from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
With this action among others, the Haitian Government and UNDP wish to contribute to sustainable growth and securing the incomes and living conditions of the most vulnerable rural households.
