Haiti - Security : Minister Cadet visits schools victims of protesters attacks

This week Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education, visited the Immaculate School of Mary (CIM) and the Lycee Marie Jeanne, who are among the schools in Port-au-Prince, victims of attacks by demonstrators during the movements of teachers' demands.

The Minister expressed his solidarity and expressed his sympathies to the schools and denounced these unacceptable attacks in a democratic society which presupposes respect for the other. He promised to consult with the authorities concerned to ensure the protection of the schools after hearing the testimonies of those still traumatized.

The Minister also took the opportunity to reiterate the government's commitments to meet teachers' demands while condemning these unacceptable schools attacks.
