In its latest report covering the period from January to the beginning of June 2017, the Northwest Women's Network (REFANO) reveals that, unlike in previous years, the rate of gender-based violence is decreasing for the same period. The Network reports 24 cases of physical assault, 15 cases of assassination attempts, 12 cases of sexual assault and 37 cases of psychological assault. A decline that the REFANO attributes to the positive results of the struggles and awareness campaigns of the women's organizations of the Northwest.

However, the REFANO is concerned about several cases of incest and violence reported in several families, deploying the lack of shelter for these girls in distress able to protect them from the perversion of their father.

REFANO appeals to women and girls who are victims of violence in any form, to file a complaint so that immoral people can be punished by law.
